Ok, Not Really. I Was Just Practicing Writing The Story For When He Does Announce His Return. If You Think Mayweather Is Done Boxing For Good, Put Down The Glue. He'll Be Back As Surely As I Will Banish Somebody From Friday's Chat.

A Competitive, Healthy Athlete At The Peak Of His Fame And Earning Power At Age 31 Does Not Walk Away For Good, Especially When You Are A Limelight Lover Like Mayweather Is. Maybe Mayweather Will Take Off A Year, Maybe Two. But He Will Be Back.

But Please Don't Tell Me He Was Better Than sugar Ray Robinson, henry Armstrong, muhammad Ali Or sugar Ray Leonard, Among Others. He Never Had A Foil To Bring Out The Best In Him Like Those Men Did. On His Way Up The Ladder, Mayweather Beat Significant Opponents Such As genaro Hernandez, diego "chico" Corrales And jose Luis Castillo, But He Also Managed To Miss Some Deserving Opponents. I'm Not Placing Blame Solely On Mayweather, But The Fact Is He Never Fought acelino "popo" Freitas Or joel Casamayor At A Time When All Three Held Junior Lightweight Titles And Were In Their Primes. Im not sure where a drunk Larry Merchant, who has never been in the ring before, gets off insulting Floyd Mayweather.

The article is a weak attempt to discredit Floyd's opponents, when in many cases, his opponents were percieved as legitimate threats and opponents who could defeat him, until he clearly outclassed them.

I rememberat least half the people on this board picked Oscar to beat, if not KO Floyd, but after FLoyd beat him, it was just a SD win against an old, out of his prime fighter.
I remember how Ricky Hatton was the guy who had the style and skill to beat Floyd Mayweather, until Floyd knocked him out, and he was just a small jr welter who Floyd was supposed to dispose of.
The hypocricy is just pathetic.

It appears Rafel is forgetting that Floyd chased Mosley for years, and Shane avoided Floyd like the plague.

Think about it, if Floyd faced Margarito when he was called to and won an easy decision, Marg was an overrated, unskilled fighter who Floyd should have never faced in the first place. If he had fought Cotto or Williams and won easily, they were unproven fighters who were simply overhyped.
Ive been on this board for long enough to know that regardless of who Floyd fights and beats, there will always be delusional, biased haters who will not give him credit.
So Floyd said **** it and retired (not for good I assume) and is hopefully biding his time for one more fight against a fighter who will have proven himself to the boxing world.
