Oscar: One more fight!
Wednesday, June 11 2008
Oscar De La Hoya says he's no longer planning to have two more fights before retiring. "One more and that's it," the Golden Boy told Reuters. "This is my final year. I'm doing one fight and hanging up the gloves."
Ex-stripper Milana Dravnel has dropped her $25 million lawsuit against Oscar according to the New York Daily News after experts reportedly concluded that compromising images were doctored.

Oscar is currently in the midst of a national book-signing tour for AMERICAN SON (HarperEntertainment; $25.95). The book is described as a touching memoir about achieving the American Dream, by Oscar with Steve Springer. De La Hoya offers insight into his personal and professional life — his rise to the top, the pitfalls of stardom in a celebrity obsessed culture, the tragic and painful passing of his mother from cancer, as well as a very personal take on how important being an American is to him. Fans are welcomed to come to the following locations to meet Oscar and have him sign their books, however, he will not have time to sign any memorabilia so please leave it at home.
