Here we have Kelly Pavlik coming from a small working class town that was once a thriving steel community, but now reduced to rusty, broken down shambles. Pavlik, like most americans, is a blue collar boxer who goes in, does his job and doesn't complain. and he's also white. Abraham, a ****y boxer from Germany, call himself "The King". He comes from a boxing world mostly considered corrupt and crooked. His appearance and semi smirk can almost be taken as disrespectful to anyone who isnt him.
This fight has the potential to be a nationalistic event. USA vs. Germany, good vs. "evil". I wish Arum and other promoters would wake up to possible ideas. This could easily be a network tv fight if promoted right. I mean, Pavlik vs. Taylor did dissapointed PPV numbers so the possibility of Pavlik vs. Abraham doing great PPV numbers is not likely. Why not put this ***** on network TV? STOP BEING SO GREEDY!!!
