The new WBC rankings at light-heavyweight

Peter Venancio, ranked number 14th, hasn't won a fight in more than a year. He has lost twice in a row, to Silvio Branco and Aleksy Kuziemski.

Thomas Ulrich, ranked 11, has been afforded title opportunity after opportunity but has come up short each time, usually by KO.

Vadim Safonov, ranked 10, hasn't fought a fight scheduled for longer than 8 rounds since January 2004. His last opponent was 1-23 and that fight went the distance.

Antonio Brancalion, ranked 8, has fought his last two fights against fighters with losing records. He had a 5 fight streak a few years back in which he didn't win once.

Dawid Kostecki, ranked 7, of his last 6 fights, only one was scheduled for longer than 8 rounds. Only two of those fighters had winning records and the fight before those 6 fights was a knockout loss.

Braimah Kamoko, ranked 5, 16 of this fighter's opponents were winless. What are the chances he fights for the title any time soon?

Chris Byrd was ranked number 6 last month, then he got KO'ed by Shaun George, now George only gets a number 15 ranking?
