I think the reason there are a lot of latino p4p is because they are naturally smaller framed. That means that there are a LOT of them in boxing in Welter and below and since there are soo many they dominate the lighter weight classes. I'm not saying thats a bad thing, just that the average Latino is usually smaller in stature. Think about it, how many 6'4" 250lb latino heavy weights have you seen?

I think what a lot of people forget about is that most of America's great athletes are playing other sports.

Black males have all but taken over basketball and football besides the occasional white quarterback, lineman, or kicker. Why would some athletically gifted young black male want to box over making millions in one of those two sports? No telling how many possible all time greats we might have out on a football field or basketball court..... its just that boxing isnt as popular as it was years ago.

As for whites, our next white heavyweight champ is probably a lineman for a football team right now. Same for middleweight and up, they are probably playing baseball, hockey or football right now. People just dont realize how unpopular boxing is in the US right now. Millions watch football games on saturday and sunday all day, but when a decent boxing match comes on you never hear about it unless your a boxing fan.
