"True Warrior", lets educate people on what that REALLY is....

Of course, fans of a certain fighter have gotten a little emotional about Floyd being called a coward and not a "True Warrior". I for one don't agree with Floyd being called a coward because the fact is, he moved up facing bigger competition. A lot of this does stem from the fact, though, that Floyd HIMSELF hyped up the DLH saying he would go toe to toe with him and all that jazz so some of it is warranted.

But for some reason, prolly PURPOSELY with the intent to discredit fighters who are more offensive minded, fans of Floyd feel they need to change the meaning of what a "True Warrior" is saying that a true warrior is someone with no defensive ability, ring smarts or any other skills, just someone who goes out there and gets the **** knocked out of them. If they TRULY believe that, well, thats them. They only enjoy one kind of style and its sad.

But for us, the fans that enjoy ALL types of styles of boxing, we know that a True Warrior has many definitions and examples. We know that a true warrior is someone that overcomes challenges through adversity, someone that isn't afraid to take risks and take on all obstacles and challenges. A true warrior is someone that seeks the toughest tests. Floyd has done this in manny occasions. But lets give more examples

What Izzy Vazquez did in the 12th round of the 3rd Marquez figth. THATS being a true warrior..

What are more examples of someone being a True Warrior?

when I saw the thread I tought IZZY lol

anyway you forgot Diego Corrales first fight with castillo, and when he kept getting knocked down by floyd jr but wanted to continue.

Also JMM in the first fight with pacquiao he was knocked down and his nose was bloodied up after the 3rd knockdown he looked like he wanted no more but then got up att he round of 8 and was able to fight for his life for the other 11 rounds.

another true warrior is arturo gatti.

gatti vs ward round 9 first fight both gatti and ward are what a warrior is about
