    Cotto heads Klitschko/Williams undercard

Undefeated Miguel Cotto will be featured on the Vitali Klitschko-Danny Williams world heavyweight championship fightcard on Saturday, Dec. 11, live on HBO Pay Per View from The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Cotto will make the first defense of his WBO light welterweight title against former world champion Randall Bailey.

The bout will be presented by Top Rank, Inc. in association with K2 Promotions and featured live as part of the Vitali Klitschko vs Danny Williams....

"I am a champion and it is an honor to be fighting on the same card as the heavyweight champion of world,” said Cotto.

“On December 11, I will be fighting for my people and all the boxing fans who give me the extra strength to keep winning.”

"I am excited that we are able to add a championship fight of this caliber to the show," said Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions.

"Miguel Cotto has established himself to be a main event fighter on any other show."

"We believe Miguel Cotto is the best 140-pounder in the world and everyone will see that on December 11," said Bob Arum, president, Top Rank.

"This show is a perfect opportunity for him to show boxing fans that he is the future of our sport.”

Wow, he actually sounds like a cool guy. He is actually one of these fighters that are always exciting to watch. Even though he got a couple of technical flaws he is still young and in my opinion can accomplish more that Tito

i met him one, after one of his fights here in PR and the guy is cool as hell..very mature for his age. He’s a young father of 2(or 3)...he will become another great PR fighter. but to say this early that he will accomplish more than Tito... it's pretty hard to do what Tito has done...

Ricky Hatton is fighting the same night in London. It's about time these two got in the ring together though.

I would like to watch both of these fights but it seems these matchups are more suited for a showing on HBO not PPV.

                  For real.

I'd rather see cotto fight than klitschko any day, though.

I don't know, Borikua, I think Cotto has the ability to be much bigger than Tito if brought along correctly. Cotto is faster, has better defense, is more compact, has better boxing ability, and is still very young. This kid is the complete package and I think that he can run all the divisions all the way up to middleweight one day. This kid will be the next great Middleweight.
