Key word here is Vacant and golden johnson didnt look so hot when margarito fought him.Hey I'm not a hater I just dont think Tony deserves the credit he gets from some people.I've never seen him go toe to toe with the best and win. Last big or important thing I remember from him was the loss to Williams and he looked like he was gonna cry.Comment

I wouldn't blame him for taking on Baldomir instead of Margarito if both offers presented themselves at the same time. But Margarito had offered around $7 million in late 2005 and upped the offer to $8 million in 2006. Mayweather could have received the same payday in one Margarito fight that he got for two fights at that time (Mitchell and Judah). Then he could have gone on and still fought Baldomir for the real title at the end of the year and get another $8 million+ payday. Not to mention he saves himself $750k by not by buying out his contract with Arum...
Even the most diehard Mayweather fan has to come to grips with the reality that Mayweather was scared of Margarito. I think Mayweather boxes his ears off, but Mayweather thought Margarito was a big enough risk to a potential megafight with DLH that he wouldn't fight him...Comment

Actually now that I think about it.What has he even done to deserve to get a match with Cotto?? Beat golden Johnson and beat Cintron 2 times? Well lets see Judah and Mosely would beat both of those guys. Hell even Gomez would beat golden johnson right now.That would be a good match Gomez and Golden Johnson.Comment
