    Williams versus De La Hoya

Does anyone think this fight might happen September 20? Seems like the most logical matchup in terms of weight and availability.

I hope it happens because it would be great for boxing for an up and comer like Williams to get that type of exposure. This is important with Mayweather retiring and De La Hoya heading out the door soon.

I agree. But i'm sure many will say no. Because that would put Williams in Cotto's realm and Cotto's fans want Williams to move up in weight for some reason.

There's really no upside to fighting Paul. He's still a relatively unkown who will be the favorite by those who follow boxing and the underdog by those who don't

DLH doesn't fight unkown named boxers unless they are tune-up guys he can beat easily like Forbes, there is little chance of this fight happening.

I hope Cotto/Williams is next after he beats Margarito so all the Williams bandwagoners shut up allready. Their guy is good but they make him to be unbeatable, their act is getting tiresome.

Wont happen, Not enough money for Oscar. Im tired of both Cotto and Williams nut lickers. Cotto is very vunerable to a hard puncher like Margarito and Williams has been rocked by lesser punchers than that tool bag he fought on saturday. I love Cotto but he still has to prove himself. I think Cotto Oscar makes the most money and the most sense.

I don't think that Cotto-Oscar makes sense at all because Cotto-Margarito is happening in July. Both Margarito and Cotto are probably going to need time off after that one, unless the winner knocks the other guy out early in the fight, then maybe he could fight Oscar in 2 months.

I don't really see how Cotto still has to prove himself. Wins over Malignaggi, Judah, and Mosely are pretty impressive. Not sure what else people are looking for on that guy's resume.

Besides Williams, another strong possibility would be Sergio Mora. Mora just got some legitimacy by beating Forrest, and that fight would be as simple as calling up Mora's people and asking for it. Plus Mora is also an LA fighter.
