Who is the better stylistic matchup for Cotto, Marg/Williams?

Both are tough figthers and are concensus top 5 WW's or higher. But as is often the case styles often make fights. Who matches up better against Cotto?

I tend to think that Margarito matches up better against Cotto than Williams. He is the more durable fighter. Better inside fighter who throws a nice uppercut (one of the punches Cotto is most susceptible to) is physically very strong and can probably afford to trade punches with Cotto more so than PW's.

Just to pre-empt the learning imparied, I'm not saying who is the better fighter, I know PW's beat Marg. I'm just discussing who matches up better.

I agree that Margarito matches up better with Cotto, again because he's so durable. For some reason I keep thinking that Williams gets hurt bad by Cotto on the inside.

Surprised no PW fans threw in reasons why he is a better matchup.

It would be funny to see Williams in there with Cotto. Williams would Tower over Cotto.
I think Williams huge reach advantage would trouble Cotto not to mention his high work rate.

          There is no style difference.

Margarito's style = throw more punches then the other guy
Paul's style = throw more punches then the other guy

HAHA, I guess you think Marg and PW's are the same type of fighter, LOL.

Margarito's style is to get inside and unload with his workrate, Chin and durability being his primary defense.

PW's keeps guys at the end of his punches and unloads, using his workrate, height and reach as his primary defense.

I was the last one to jump on board but I think Cotto KOs Antonio Margarito. Cotto will slow him down fast with some body shots then work on the inside.

Yes I do think they are very close to being the same fighter. Margarito is just uglier.

I think stylistically Margarito is the tougher fight.

Marg, cuz he throws harder and could take body shots better. Williams and Marg both throw a lot, but Williams moves around and would permit Cotto to come forward and do his thing. Tony would never back up against Cotto. Cotto can fight well goin backwards but he's more effective comin forward.
