No ****. We know it's really getting out of hand if we hear Mayorga for a possible opponent for Valuev or even the Great Tye Fields.

rubio is a guy who got 1st round ko'd by one of floyds sparring partners. he got his name on the map by ko'ing zertuche, a year after pavlik did it. he has a good record because he ko's alotta bums. arum thinks rubio will be a showcase fight to get alot of mexicans to like pavlik. maybe hes right.

        Easy KO win for Pavlik.

The buildup will be funny, Mayorga will talk trash like he always does and then end up getting knocked the **** out by Pavlik.

If this fight happens you can kiss Mayorga's career goodbye.

Yessssss. Aside from Pavlik-Calzaghe, this would be awesome for Kelly's career. As others said, the hype alone would be sick. I'd love to see Pavlik actually genuinely dislike an opponent for once, although I like Mayorga. The **** that Mayorga talks is second to none, and he isn't afraid to throw bombs either, so it would be a slugfest. Pavlik KO 4.

Can you imagine Mayorga egging on Pavlik to throw a right hand like he did against Trinidad? That'd be hilarious, until Mayorga was pronounced dead on arrival.

I think Mayorga has a better chance then the dude who he fought this saturday..
Anyway, I agree... What would kill Mayorga in the fight would be his pride.
When have you ever seen him turn down a fight?
I agree with the person who says Mayorga's name gets tossed around too much for every division.
People see him as an easy win though and he is guaranteed to generate interest and be exciting win or lose.

Why Mayorga? The only success Mayorga has had at any weight above 154 was beating up a shot Vargas. Pavlik is way too big for Mayorga, who has been a shadow since moving up from 147.

Mayorga is a safe fight for most champions because he doesn't train.

I love Mayorga, he's one of my favorites and he'll fight anyone, anytime. p4p best **** talker too. I don't like the size differential, I feel Pavlik is too big. Should be interesting regardless.

Thanks for the info aRmAgeDDoN. Based on what you said, I really hope Pavlik doesn't fight him. Lockett was a big enough joke as it was, having two jokes in a row it stops being funny!
