With floyd retired without facing the threats available to him, IMO roy is the greatest of this generation. Can you imagine if Roy retired after the ruiz fight, he would have been top 5 all time.

All i know it would be a great fight. Im not convinced yet that Williams has made major adjustments from Quintana I. What he did in the rematch was just blitz Quintana so we didn't get to see what changes he made. Right now, if Cotto/Williams gets made without Williams taking another fight, I see a win for Cotto by TKO. If Williams takes another fight and shows more versatility, I see it as a much closer fight.

regardless, this fight will happen. There arent too many more options for Cotto.

Cotto is just as unproven as Williams. He has never fought a man who could beat him. Shane was 36, so he couldn't ask his body to step it up late. Williams has beaten margs, so to say you don't know if he has made enough adjustments is your opinion. Sure he fought down to the level of his comp. The greatests have lost before they had prven themselves. We don't know if cotto is the goods. He has some skills, but no right hand, and has never been tested because he was stronger than anyone he fought. Williams presents all types of problems for any boxer, and if he wants to fight, that floyd sarcasm you try to joke and hide behind is going to back fire. Williams wants to fight anyone and everyone. Not true, Cotto has fought a consistantly higher level of competition that Williams. Cotto is a proven comodity Williams is a few fights away from it.

Cotto is a great fighter for sure...one of my favorites.
I dont think PW could withstand to many body shots from Cotto as thats where he would be going to all night...Quintana landed some great shots to William's face in the first fight and he took them pretty well...hes not been tested to the body.
He's a bit skinny I think and would suffer.
