He does deserve it. But I see the same outcome. Williams came on strong in the end of the 1st fight. And Quintana was getting tired from the pressure. He held on and pulled out to win. Much credit to him but Williams is too much of a physical onslaught for Carlos.Last edited by Kobe Bryant; 06-09-2008, 11:35 AM.Comment

quintana Deserves A Rematch, Just Like Williams Did. I Don't Think One Punch Kos Necessarily Prove That One Fighter Is Better Than The Other. A Third Fight Would Prove Beyond All Doubt Who The Better Fighter Is, Plus Quintana Gave Williams A Chance To Win The Belt Back So Williams Should Extend The Same Courtesy To Quintana.Comment

Quintana was blown away, he doesn't deserve **** ti come in half ass like that and expect another good pay day. He's a waste of time, he had his chance and blew it. He needs to go whoop some ass somewhere else to regain his right to challenge again.Comment

So I guess it's fair to say that Paul Williams can have an off match, but Quintana cannot?
Just remember in boxing that all it takes is one punch to completely turn the tide of a match.
As for the arguing of whether a knock out or a UD is better? A knock out is just more pleasing to the fans and seems more decisive -- but a clear UD victory means the same thing. It's still one fighter outclassing another.
That said, it's unfair to say that Quintana doesn't deserve a rubber match based on these reasons.
Oh, and to all those who keep referring to Williams as a middleweight; unless your gonna same the same thing about Cotto (no offense, Miguel), who walks around as heavy as Winky Wright; shut **** up with your double standards!!!!
Still, Quintana does deserve a chance to redeem himself a little later on...Comment
