I suppose Pavlik would fight Sturm if he wasn't busy having draws with half-ass fighters in Germany.

Pavlik-Abraham would be great sure, but ****'s gotta happen before that goes down (the Miranda thing)

Pavlik keeps busy and he's not required to move up to fight Calzaghe if he doesn't want to. He's just fighting at his best weight and there ain't a lot around anymore.

      What about you?

Conclusion : Joke fight. A bigger joke is the boxing public that buy this ****. Even though hes had 2 tough fights. Lockett, than Rubio is simply ****.

      If you have balls Kelly.

      How bout:

      Calzaghe
      Abraham
      Sturm
      Mundine

If your so good clean out the division. Max Kellerman is my boy!
By the way, Ultimate is clearly just hating without doing any research whatsoever. Arum has been talking about gettin Calzaghe in October for a few weeks now, in which case he said the Rubio fight would be immediately scrapped. Arum also said if not Calzaghe, Mayorga, Abraham, as well as Rubio are possibilities. Ultimate wouldn't know anything about that though, he's too busy making sure his head stays up his ass, which one would assume is a full time job in his warped world.

Yeah he is a real ducker alright! If it does not pan out the Rubio fight will do ahead. He is a WBC mandatory regardless of his worthiness.

Then watch the Pavlik interview, they are both available here. He says out right that he wants to unify, but the German guys want everything on their own terms and want the huge money and want the fight over in Germany.

What is your hate with American's anyway? I'm not American but you are so spiteful towards them it's is to the point of being ******ed.
Rubio is not the WBC mandatory, he is ranked #3 by the WBC, don't spew garbage to legitimize this horrible choice of opponent.

By the way folks, the guy that gets knocked the **** out in this clip is Rubio...

The man has spent most of his career at 154, holds losses like the knock out above in the video, Kassim Ouma, as well as two other unheard of bums. The only name on his resume that is even recognizable is his TKO of Zertuche. Just straight up ****ing shameful.

Last I heard it was a mandatory defense, unless the rankings have changed.

I just checked and you are right. Perhaps Duddy and Lorenzo are not available? Everything I have been told is that it is a mandatory issued by the WBC

Pavlik is trying to keep busy which is why he is taking on Rubio this soon after the Lockett fight, it will also build him up if he keeps on getting the KO's and having strong performances (aside from the Taylor rematch) regardless of the level of the opposition.
I'm guessing that Pavlik will fight two more times this year (unless he loses/gets injured) and Abraham will fit in that schedule at the end of the year as long as Arthur gets past Miranda which is not for certain.

After all that Pavlik will take on Calzaghe in 2009, atleast I hope so.

Let's hope so because if he ends this year with only fighting Lockett and Rubio, I will be highly disappointed. Also, even if Abraham loses to Miranda, I still want to see Pavlik-Abraham because the fight with Miranda is being held at 166, so Abraham will remain champion, and he will still be undefeated at middleweight.

What's shameful is Floyd fans criticizing Pavlik when the guy they love just retired to avoid fighting the only real threat he has at 147. Slightly more shameful because he's on a permanent ducking vacation. Pavlik has at least 4 or 5 more years in the sport, he wants Calzaghe now and the rest will come in good time. I don't wanna see Rubio anymore than the next guy, but honestly, any Pavlik fight is worth it's weight in gold, entertainment wise.

Mayweather didn't have to retire to avoid Cotto, he could have just fought Oscar, then Hatton, then Pacquiao, so your theory fails *****.
