    Oscar's next opponent?...

So with Mayweather's abrupt retirement, Oscar De La Hoya is looking for a creditable ppv worthy opponent for his scheduled fight in September. So who's it gonna be? Who would you like him to fight? For me, I'd love to see Oscar fight Paul Williams at junior mw....

The Punisher in September and then the winner of Cotto-Margarito in December, if he wins.

Either the winner of Cotto-Margarito or Paul Williams. If they win excitingly it would really provide mainstream america with boxings best showing.

When I first spoke of Mora beating Forrest, everyone ridiculed me. When I spoke of him fighting Oscar for the green belt everyone laughed. It aint so funny anymore ha? This fight has to happen my friends. It's Oscar's best option at the moment.

Gives him another warm up fight disguised by it being for a major world championship. He'd be fighting another Contender, this time the original Condender champ, and the most popular one. Sergio just came off a victory over Vernon Forrest, who many thought would always give Oscar problems. They're both from East L.A. and Oscar wants to fight on Mexican Independence day weekend; who better to fight than another Chicano, on that big beer drinking weekend. Make the fight in L.A. again, it would be huge, way bigger than the Stevie Forbes fight.

After this fight, he can go on and take that ultimate farewell fight against whoever the P4P king is at the time: Cotto, Pacquiao or Calzaghe. He could also fight Tito, Roy at Middlewieght, Hatton, Margarito if he destroys Cotto.......Golden Boy has many options, they just gotta think outside the box.

ODLH has a fight set for September so unless that date is pushed back later there's no way he can face the winner of Margo/Cotto. I think he owes Winky a fight and anything less than that is a farce. Please don't even mention midgets like Pac and Hatton as realistic opponents because those fights would be wholesale slaughter and everyone knows it.
