When did this sparring session take place? This makes me look at Sergio as a better fighter than I already thought he was. Sparring with Margs will make anyone better. Surely helped taking on Vernon. But when was this?

This Mora hype is ridiculous. People forget that he got handed a gift decision in that rematch with a woeful Manfredo.

He looked good against a totally spent and out of shape 37 year old Forrest. He is still an ordinary fighter.

This video has been up for a long time. It's been up for 2 years so i'm guessing it happened sometime in early 2006.

Haters are always trying to discredit the great Sergio Mora. Chill out my man.
That spent and out of shape 37 year old was the WBC super welterweight champ.

I am not trying to discredit him. I am simply trying to put his win in perspective. No doubt it was a good win but anyone who watched the fight could see that Vernon was a shadow of his former self.

Or maybe Sergio Mora made him look that way.

Fair enough. Agree to disagree on it. It's just my opinion anyway. I know he looked very good and all but I thought Vernon looked atrocious and I have seen Sergio in several other fights and I am not yet convinced that he is a legitimate top guy, whether it be at middle or jr middle. I could be wrong but I would want to see him fight and beat a few top guys that aren't just about finished before people start laying on the praise.

In time he will. He earned my respect this past weekend.
