- Was Forrest old last night or was Mora the new Wilfredo Benitez? Ofcourse he is not that good but Im just talking about his D. I couldnt tell if Vernon couldnt hit him because he was washed up or was it because Mora is super hard to hit while staying in front of you just like Benitez was. Both of them are a little jerky and can slip a punch right at the last second or take all the steam off it. The Showtime boys were making me mad because they were talking about some of Vernon's big shots early but didnt any of them land cleanly. Not 1. I do think Vernon looked washed up though so its still hard to tell just how good Mora's D is.
- Im a big Williams fan and was hyped after his win last night but I do think people are overreacting. They act like this automatically makes him great again. Maybe the first loss was a fluke but you could argue the same that this win was. He caught Quintana with 1 great shot that he never recovered from while Carlos killed him for 12 rounds. I think this deserves to be a triliogy but I dont think it will happened now because Williams isnt a idiot and he knows he has far too much to lose. I thought Quintana was a fool for having a rematch even after he clearly won. You just dont take that risk again with a freak like Williams.
- I knew that Williams would quickly destroy Quintana last night as soon as the Showtime crew started talking. The 1st round was going on and then the announcers said that the Quintana team promised something new things for this fight and they thought they meant that Carlos would be more aggressive and come after Williams more. What? Why would you do something dumb like that? You just killed him the last fight boxing beautifully. I said watch this fool try to go after him and run into something and immediatly it happened. They lost that fight more then Williams won it.
- The two 1st round KO's again proved to me what I always say and what people overlook. The Southpaw fighter has a huge advantage in boxing. If 2 fighters are the exact same but one is southpaw then he will always be a better fighter because they can either hit you clean with a blind shot that you dont see coming or you will see it coming easily but you still cant stop it which makes all the punches hurt more. Now both of those KO's were also against Southpaws but that just shows you that even they struggle against a Southpaw. Both of those guys were doing the samething theyve done a 100 times before and rarely ever get caught with a big punch but against a Southpaw they both walked right into something big right off the bat and the fight was done before it even started. Both got hit by a blind punch while on the attack.
- Lockett is either the worst figher ever or Enzo is the worst trainer ever. I dont mind you losing and I dont even mind a guy getting blown out but to lose the way he did made me question was this guy truly a pro or a amature. I ask this because Pavlik is a huge guy with monster power, therefore you have to get all the way inside or stay all the way outside or move alot. This fool did neither of the 3. Not only did he stand directly in front of Pavlik the whole fight, he stayed in a perfect range to catch Pavlik's full power. He never even tried to come inside and he never tried to step out of range. It was like hitting a real life punching bag. I mean he stood perfectly on the end of Pavlik's punches where he could catch the full effect of the blow and would never move. What are you doing? He was like 3 feet away the whole fight where Pavlik could just step right into him full go. That was far too easy
