Floyd Mayweather Jr, supreme talent, average resume.

Floyd Mayweather Jr, most talented fighter of our generation? Quite probably.

Best resume of his boxing peers? Not even close.

And before the Floydboys have their period, I'm not questioning his unparalleled skills and ability. My point is his resume is not as decorated as other fighters of the same era.

It's a shame because Floyd is/was champion of the most stacked division of boxing. He could have easily cemented his legacy with more defences. His lack of desire may have cost him in the legacy stakes.

His "supreme talent" is a deception, in that he never took on a real challenge, therefore he was not proven; his "supreme talent" is more speculation than fact.

You know very little about boxing sir. Floyd Mayweather was a LIGHTWEIGHT megastar. He made his career at that division. Think about him going to welterweight as Robbinson going to middleweight for a finish or Jones Jr to heavyweight for a one tittle shot. Considering Mayweather, at his last weight division conquered the tittle taking names like he did, that pretty good.

Truth is people want to break Floyd's legacy down. But they have trouble doing it if they consider his whole career, so they break it down to weight classes, which is ridiculous.

Let him go already, lets talk about the future stars. Neither you or me will have any impact on how Floyd's seen in the future.

yes he was great at 130 and 135. yes he took titles from 130 to 154.

                  it's not all about trinkets.

floyd has won titles in 5 weight divisions. if pacquiao beats diaz he would've accomplished the same thing. does that make manny equivalent to sugar ray robinson? no.
