The thing is if Miranda surprisingly beats Abraham, Pavlik has to move up to get respect in some people's minds. Does he have to fight a 168 champ or even Cal who fought at 175 to get respect. He's the middleweight champ and the division is looking a little weaker these days.

I mean who's left at middleweight?

Pavlik just beats who is in front of him and that's all you can ask from him.

He's a good fighter who is exciting in big events. I know the blue collar hero thing is a bit over the top, but he has performed well on a high level so far and you can't begrudge him that.

Well it has seemed fair to criticise Calzaghe for all these years...

Now the shoe is on the other foot however, things are different.

The hypocrisy of some American's makes me sick.

(I'm not saying you do this, just using what you said, as it is a perfect example)

I have never criticized Calzaghe. You won't find that from me anywhere.
I do often have criticism for Frank Warren.

Calzaghe fans act as if the B-Hop win was one of, if not THE biggest win of Joes career.

And yet Taylor is average but Calzaghe is a P4P superstar.

          Gets you thinking doesn't it?

...I'm not a Taylor or Pavlik fan by any means but clearly these guys are anything but average. I always thought Taylor was a bit overrated but I wouldn't call him average by any means. I like Pavlik but I won't give him as much credit as everybody else is doing until he beats somebody a bit bigger than the guys he has been. Miranda is good but will never be a world champion now. Taylor was never as good a champion as he was made out to be, and Gary Lockett was just a ****ing punch bag.
Why do people keep bringing Calzaghe into this?

How can anyone not like Pavlik, hard worker who doesn't smack talk and gets in done in the ring, I hope Calzaghe beats him but either way i'm a huge fan

              ****in Pavlik, smoke me.
              Couple of Calzaghe Nuthuggers here

Taylor was a top p4p fighter, #1 middleweight in the world, and Pavlik just beat him, it's simple, I remember When taylor was a Beast, and he couldn't be stoped at MW,Now he's average at best? How quick the tide turns when then man comming for your favorite fighter, just beat a hard punching UK fighter.

Miranda and Zuniga were both good wins too.
