No ifs and or buts, Forrest did not train properly for this fight, he was flabby, and expected to KO Mora within 4. In the first few rounds he was REALLY loading up on his punches, trying to get Mora out of there. He's a class act and did not want to make excuses for his loss, but you can just see by the smile he had on his face at the end when Jim Gray asked him if he'd continue fighting. He knew he overlooked Mora and wasn't in condition to go 12. \ Props to Mora though for fighting a great fight, he was really ripping Forrest at times. I think Forrest will look better in his next fight and will be much more prepared to go the distance. He was gassed by round 7.
Forrest completely overlooked Mora.

Forrest is shot. Even if he came in prepared he wouldn't have the inside fighting skills, accuracy, or stamina to keep up with the younger and more active Mora. It's a shame, I was rooting for him to knock Mora out but he was clearly outclassed in the second half of the fight and didn't look like he had much left in him.Comment

No, Forrest is done as a top fighter in the sport. He's old and has had too many periods of inactivity. Plus, he's lazy and boring to watch, so good bye Viper, go hang out with Mayweather, maybe he'll give you some Money. No ifs and or buts, Forrest did not train properly for this fight, he was flabby, and expected to KO Mora within 4. I don't agree that he overlooked him, and I don't agree that Mora made him look old. I really do think that he is just done. He looked slow, and most importantly, he lost his stamina quickly after showing NO power in his punches. That is a bad sign. If he doesn't generate power in his punches and still gets winded, that means he is in trouble for the rest of his career. No ifs and or buts, Forrest did not train properly for this fight, he was flabby, and expected to KO Mora within 4.
