So P. Williams is Back, Welterweight division looks loaded Again

This isn't about Mayweather anymore. With Williams winning he is right back in the mix. Many assumed Quintana was gonna expose Williams again and all Cotto had to do is take care of Margarito and that was it at 147. Not so fast, to maintain the standard set of fighting the best, cleaning out the division etc,. the winner of Margarito/Cotto has to fight Williams. After all that's what seperates them from cherry pickers like Mayweather right?!!?

No matter who wins between Margarito/Cotto......Williams is waiting. If Margarito happens to win, he has some unfinished business with The Punisher. If Cotto wins, he has a brand new Top 10 welterweight opponent in Williams. Andre Berto is on his way to winning the vacant WBC title. The Judah/Clottey winner deserves another crack at one of the guys I already mentioned. With his name and resume, Shane Mosley could automatically get a shot at any of these guys (judah/Clottey winner, P.Williams for the WBO, Margarito if he beats Cotto)

The division is loaded. Even if Floyd doesn't come back, some great possible matchups are waiting for us in the near future.

Lol.. Hyped over a win from a man who clearly beat him the first time and says he had a bad night? I bet Quintana had a bad night too.

I find it weird how Willams comes like Tyson and KO's him in 1. I gotta see this ****.

Quintana didn't have a bad night. The Punisher simply pulled a Roy Jones-Griffin-rematch-esque 1st round beatdown, leaving no doubt the first fight was a fluke. It's time to move on. Quintana can still get another crack at the top fighting guys like Collazo, Cintron. One of those three can be recycled and brought back for another shot at one of the titles.

              Just because it's 1-1 doesn't mean that every fight requires a triology. Gatti-Ward, Barrera-Morales, Castillo-Corrales, Vasquez-Marquez, Pacquiao-JMM.

Those are triogies either because they were great fights/rivaries and both guys were great fighters. Williams/Quintana belongs in the group of Lewis/Rahman, Jones/Griffin, Spinks/Judah. Not great fights and one fighter seperated himself from the other in the rematch proving it was fluke.

No third fight necessary. Get over it culo. You need to swallow tha Rican pride and move on.

This is my main opinion in regards to P. Williams and the rest of the division.

Paul is ready for a big fight now. I said in another thread the Cotto-Tony winner is the real champ at 147 with or without Williams, but whichever one it is should fight him.

I would love to see the winner of Cotto/Margarito fight Williams.
