Ponce's power isn't over rated...... His boxing skills suck ass but he hit's hard as hell. I knew this would happen sooner or later! I've always thought Ponce's technique was crap. Granted his stamina and power are good. JuanMa deserves all the credit in the world for doing what he did. I really have not seen him fight before but I'm definitly looking forward to seeing him again! I would have loved to have seen a bit more but he finished him really smart. Great win for JuanMa.

In case you forgot, I'm American. How about those American prospects? You probably know more about Filipino prospects than I do since I see you in every one of their threads.
When you call your boy a "one-dimensional ass ****" and say "Ponce got exposed again," that makes it seem as if you're jumping off his bandwagon at the first sign of despair.Comment

I'm sure there were a lot of people who thought Ponce was going to blast Juanma out when he came out aggressive in the first 30 seconds. Ponce was actually landing some good shots in that early portion of the round.
Lopez was a very cool customer in there like many have praised him for already. It was great to see a young fighter take his time and pick his shots when disposing of a hurt, dangerous fighter. We really don't get to see that often and Lopez displayed that rare level of intelligence.
I'd still like to see a Ponce/Vazquez fight. That **** would be a war and Ponce would have a better shot to capitalize on his power as Vazquez isn't that tricky.Comment

I did think Bautista was going to win because you don't need to be Ray Leonard to catch Ponce de Leon with a rocket hook and send him to la la land.
Lopez caught Ponce de Leon with the punch I thought Bautista would. Bautista never got to that point though.
