In fairness they were promoting the ****tiest MMA card in the history of the "sport". Elite XC were probably embarrassed. And quite right too. Kimbo slice as a main event.

in their defense...... it's their show too. what does it matter?

how about abc basketball telecasts talking about abc sitcoms during the game?

it's their network. they're not promoting mma as much as they're promoting a showtime programming. we wouldn't have a problem if they were talking about "dexter" or "tudors" or any other showtime show would we?

mma is not competiting with boxing. it's not the same sport. boxing itself hurts boxing. mma can't hurt it.

now the only thing that scares me or i'd have a problem with is if showtime starts giving us less boxing shows because of mma. then i'd be worried or pissed. as of right now , boxing is still a bigger moneymaker for showtime than mma so i'm not worried.
