It's pretty much untested. Lopez has looked very good beating some very ordinary opposition. If he's smart he won't give PDL (in baseball terminology) anything too good to hit.

Very good fighters...great power and technique experience may be a factor.

Ponce de Leon seems to look crappy against boxers. He was involved in a borefest with Penalosa and Escobedo but blew out Bautista.
Never know what you are going to get with him. He's fought 35 times and has serious thunder but he can get his ears boxed off.

This is a make or break fight for both guys tonight.

          ha ha ha

Sidorenko makes fights too close and this time. He paid.
I am gonna look that one up, but one thing I know, Cordoba was and is no cupcake.
yes. and it was in germany. so figured sidorenko must of really stretched things!

and again deleon is promising that this time he really IS going to show
            improved boxing style.
i think the guys kind of slow and cant think in the ring so's he always reverts back to clumsy.
            but maybe...

I haven't seen Lopez fight, how good is his chin??

I've only seen De Leon fight once and he destroyed Bautista in 1 round...De Leon can really punch for a little guy.

Ponce de Leon only does ****ty on pay per views. He fought on the undercard of Hatton-Mayweather and if you watched that fight you were at serious risk of falling asleep waiting for the main event. Before that he fought on the undercard of Barrera-Marquez on PPV and didn't look that great but ultimately beat the vet Penalosa.

But this one is on regular HBO so it may be a quick knockout. I know PDL has a chin, he warred with Caballero and a few other guys. JuanMa fought like one or two good guys but if he can box, he's going to give PDL some problems.

Rey batista was no measuring stick for us to see if PDL got better. Juanma is totally untested. I saw high lights from the Dianzo fight, and he showed some promise, but tonight, he is fighting a guy with power. You can look good against PDL until he cracks you. Like any top prospect, you don't know if he will crumble or shine. He is a southpaw bomber, who can box a bit, but his comp does not compare to PDL's. This could be a fight where it's a who catches who first. Lopez is a bit smoother, but he has not been hit yet. He has the better technical skills so i'm picking him to win.
