Boxing is better off without Floyd Mayweather Jr

Some of the most boring fights I've ever seen have been Mayweather's, such as Floyd vs. Baldomir and Floyd vs. DLH.

Not only is he boring to watch, but he carefully hand-picks his opponents. Instead of fighting a prime welterweight like Cotto, he was considering a second fight with past-prime Oscar.

His sportsmanship is poor. He has no respect for the all-time greats, having declared himself to be the best of all time, better than Sugar Ray Robinson.

The sport is better off with real warriors like Cotto and Pavlik taking the highest profile, since their fights are entertaining and will bring new fans to boxing!

Most people who watch Floyd don't find his "safety-first" style entertaining, and so are more likely to turn to MMA for their combat entertainment.

Whilst I think Mayweather possessed undeniable skills many of his fights were cagey technical affairs. Yes, they were often boring.

He was obviously more motivated by money and vanity than ambition or a burning desire to prove himself worthy of greatness.

I find it insulting that mayweather considers himself better than Sugar Ray when he ducks the best fighters in his weight class.

He will be missed, but not that much.

One thing i like about Haye is the fact that he isnt afraid to get Knocked out, He doesnt mess about with silly fights and when he hurts you he takes you out, Wlad is too boring for me now he is too scared to get hit, He use his fights with peter to hug and hold like a woman..he then use his unification fight with sultan to showcase a slapping contest.
