    Boxing dead with Mayweather gone......

    .....Is that what he wanted?

I see many saying that boxing is done with the retirement of Money Mayweather.....It made me think though. He wants everyone to think that...

He said after Hatton he would take a year or so off. he 'made' the rematch that everyone complained about which is now cancelled. Then says he is retiring when he is infact probably just taking his break.

In the mean-while prohets of doom fortell the end of a sport with Mayweather gone when suddenly he comes back and boxing is 'saved' bringing more fans, and more money...

Just had to say....Boxing isnt dead...

Floyd does sound serious about this retirement, but i doubt he will be gone long.

If he has gone forever, i will miss him as i enjoyed his fights and the build up/ But its not like the sport is dead without him. The welterweight division is great and the lightweights are looking awesome too, added with Haye going up to heavyweight i would say that boxing isnt dead at all, infact its alive and kicking!

Boxing didn't die before Mayweather and it wont die now.
Mayweather ISN'T Boxing and anyone who thinks the sport is dead with him isn't a fan of the sport and only a fan of the man.
We have multiple divisions with great championes and great mach ups,
this is what will continue the sport and always has..
Do you really think all of us @ boxing scene will leave the sport because Mayweather has?
That all the die hards will no longer watch? That people were watching boxing for the sole purpose of Mayweather and Mayweather only?
NO! SO GET THE **** OUT OF HERE WITH YOUR BULL****..please!

I'm nor a huge fan, or a huge hater of Mayweather. I'm a little confused about the retirement, whether real or fake, but for some people to suggest that boxing is dead because a guy that fights one time a year retires is silly.

          The end.

Two real welters will be fighting today and on july 26. It's not like mayweather was gonna fight them anyways. Mayweather was holding the welterweight division hostage and boxing just got a shot in the arm. I don't know why mayweather nuthuggers are so sad, I heard he's going to mma. Since they aren't even boxing fans they can still jerk off to him when he's in the octagon.

It's not dead, Mayweather was never going to be the next star just because he beat De La Hoya doesn't mean he was going to be a superstar just like Mosely. he pulled two big PPV shows against two big PPV fighters in Hatton and ODLH. Pavlik, Cotto, Pac-Man, Haye will be the future for boxing.

Boxing is not dead. Only the Floyd lovers who found out he's retiring are leaving boxing thinking it's dead.
