I bet Oscar fights Mora in September....

Oscar will fight Sergio in L.A. on Mexican Independence Day weekend in September. The fight would be huge in L.A. in Sep. Oscar would have his chance to regain his 154lbs strap (the green belt) Two good looking Chicano's from East Los, Sergio's considerable size advantage would make it interesting. The Contender Champ vs The Golden Boy; SRL promotions vs GB promotions.

I'm telling you, this is the fight that's going to be announced next week.

Oscar De La Hoya vs Sergio Mora at Dodger Stadium on September 20th for the WBC 154lbs Championship.

This will set up a huge farewell fight for Oscar and the winner of Cotto - Margarito at 154lbs.

Nice try but about 95% of Earths population think Mora will get waxed by Forrest.

What do you know Webster............ I bet Oscar has his fingers crossed though. Why do you think they are waiting till next week to make an announcement. It is definately an option at the Golden Boy offices.

There is no one for him to fight. Mora sounds good. But for a fare well tour? I dont know about that. he needs a good name, but their are none.

Think about it, small risk, very very sellable, considerable reward. And he already fought Stevie Forbes as a part of his "Farewell Tour". He didn't look too impressive in that fight. If he's gonna fight two more fights and he's lost the Mayweather fight, he's probably gonna look at a low risk, high reward fight in September, then a Huge fight for his finale. He needs time to rebuild interest for another megafight, being that he lost the Floyd fight. Sergio for the green belt would be that interest building fight.

The fourth choice sounds about right.

If Mora beats Forrest, it definitely makes sen$e for Oscar.

It would make sense for DLH, but the problem is that Mora is fighting Forrest this weekend and I feel he's going to get waxed.

I'm bringing this thread back, I believe Oscar may try to fight Sergio in his last fight. It's being mentioned now:

“I told Richard Schaefer to get me the biggest fight possible,” says De La Hoya. “Whoever it is, that is who we want. There is no particular fighter. Sergio Mora is a possibility. The winner of the Cotto-Margarito fight would be a great way to end my career. There is a lot of options. I am willing to fight whomever.”

However, Sergio should not be his final fight, he should use Sergio for a September date and proceed to a mega fight in December.

Oscar is far out of Moras class, even at his age
