By Cliff Rold - With an IBF title shot on the line by way of eliminator, 28-year old Cameroonian Jr. Welterweight Herman Ngoudjo (17-2, 9 KO), a Canadian import by way of Montreal, Quebec, bested 33-year old former WBA titlist Souleymane M’Baye (36-3-1, 21 KO) of France over twelve rounds on Friday night at the Uniprix Stadium in Montreal. It was an often exciting, always interesting battle waged before a boisterous, pro-Ngoudjo crowd that set the stage for Ngoudjo to attempt a second challenge at current IBF titlist Paulie Malignaggi (25-1, 5 KO).
