At last Floyd has backed up something he has said.

He said he didn't want anything to do with the welterweights, but he is too big for light welter and not big enough for the real contenders at light middle, so the only option left for him was to retire.

Good on Floyd for putting his money where his mouth is. (only if he stays retired though)
