    Floyd Mayweather: His Legacy Torn?

In my personal opinion I feel that he can't even possibly go down as the greatest of all time for these reasons:

    1) Boxing needs to grow as its on the decline.. Boxing made Floyd Mayweather and Floyd is leaving it in the dust. With big name fights out there to help grow the sport which would bring in lots of money its a travesty that Floyd is "leaving" the sport. (i.e. Mayweather/Cotto Mayweather/Margarito Mayweather/Mayorga Mayweather/De La Hoya 2)

    2) With Floyd apparently leaving.. for him NOT to at least fight Miguel Cotto before retiring from the sport for me is going to drop him far far down the list of the best Boxers of all time. For him to retire without facing Cotto.. I mean its only one of two things.. A) He's afraid of Miguel Cotto or B) Theres not enough money involved. And for it to be either one of those is very low and ruins the integrity of Boxing.

He's a GREAT fighter, no doubt about it but these are facts that are gonna tear up his legacy for me and probably for everyone else.
