I still think he wouldve beat both of them at 154 at the time he fought Floyd but that was then. He's older now and has slipped a little more while getting smaller. Still, I think people are sleeping on Oscar too much. Forbes is better then people think. Forbes also moved alot and "most of all" he had a great defense.
That whole fight I was thinking, "here comes the KO". I would do that about 3 times every round and no I was not rooting for Oscar or going against Forbes. I think Forbes is a beast. The reason I felt that way is because Oscar was throwing that left half hook/half uppercut and just missing every time. Man he still threw that punch with what seemed to be Tyson type power & speed but he kept just missing because Forbes would slip so well or he was being too defensive.
Now most think that Margarito/Cotto would kill Oscar right now after seeing what Forbes did and thinking about what they could do while being way more offensive then Forbes. That could be true but with them being more offensive, it also leads them in line to get hit with that punch and neither guy is has a great defense. Man Im telling you that I could see Oscar landing that punch alot and dropping those guys. You cant forget that he might didnt drop Forbes but he damn sure decapitated a guy in Mayorga who everyone said has a monster chin. I say that because alot of people think Margarito's chin is so great but its no different then Mayorga's and he got killed. Dont be shocked to see Oscar fight the winner and dont be shocked to see him win by KO even at WW and at this advanced stage of his career
