Same here, I'd say Oscar is at least 20-30 ranks higher than Floyd in terms of all time greatness.

Unlike Floyd, he never ducked anybody.

Top 50. There are other fighters who fought and beat better competition then Floyd ever did, his claim to fame is not losing. Alot of great fighters could have went unbeaten had they avoided the best guys and got paid enough to fight only once a year.

His style and his greatness wont even be appreciated until like 8 years from now....when they go back and watch the tapes..they willl say "damn he was the best....a flawless fighter"
I think there is probably a great deal of truth in this. Mayweather is certainly less naturally gifted than a lot of ATGs and has not had the kind of fights that someone like Leonard did, but technically he is genuinely incredible, as close to flawless as it is posible to get. Perhaps better opponents might have exposed some flaws but I am fairly certain these would have been a lot more to do with physical ability (strength, punch resistance etc) than they would have had to do with Floyd's actual fighting game.

I think if we're honest it is easy to imagine Floyd being absolutely worshipped 20 years from now, he is unquestionably the best of this era and is going to be the fighter, along with Roy Jones, future analysts look back on when comparing their own greats to the greats we have now.
