In terms of titles, only Sugar Ray Leonard can compare, but skillwise Floyd is a far superior fighter. Whats ironic is before his last 4 fights (judah, baldomir, de la hoya, hatton) he was the favorite, but tons of people said he was going to lose, either by weight or because the other fighter wanted it more. but he won every time and he gets hated for it because he wont continue this cycle.

roberto duran went up because he wasnt at his natural weight at lightweight, floyd is probly a 140 lb at most, but he moved up weight sucessfully.

nah, Floyd couldnt make 130 either after a while. Im fairly sure he said so himself. and nowadays he weighs around 150, and thats him in really good shape. its not a big deal...fighters grow out of their weight classes naturally all the time. Duran was actually pretty chubby at 160 and 154.

Duran also fought at 130lbs, and defeated a future champion at that weight.
Back then, there were only two titles...and they were a LOT more legitimate than the titles we have nowadays. So the whole notion of 'champ in 5 weight classes' can be deceiving.

Once upon a time, it was hard to become a champ of the world. Nowdays, you have guys like Juan Urango and Monske Fana and Gavin Rees becoming 'World Champs'.
