He could have done better though by cementing himself at welterweight. He very well could have done it, but like I said for a long time now, his heart was no longer in the sport. Fighting someone like Cotto when your heart is not in it is not a good idea.

Floyd is a ****ing *****....He retired like a coward to avoid facing the winner of Cotto/Margarito...This is worse than when Lewis retired like a coward because he is scared of Vitali and knew he would get KO'd in a rematch.

Floyd was a great fighter, but he will always be remembered as a ducker and a fraud.

I think he will in the eyes of this generation. The old generation is just about gone. He cant go down as the greatest of ALL time because the will never be another fighter with over one huindred fights. He will go down as the greatest fighter of the modern era, like how in basketball they have it broken down as pre and post shot clock eras. Or pre and post three points line. He could go down as the greatest tactician of all and the greatest technical fighter. In the eyes of the modern fan, he will be the GOAT but to the older guys like Manny Steward and Joe Frazier and fighters and people from back then he will not. Boxing back then to how it is now is like apples and oranges.

For your theory to work, you must believe that Cotto and Margarito are Great Fighters....Not on the cusp of Greatness, But Great Fighters with Great Accomplishments and a Great Resume..
