Yeah, it's very obvious. He's trying to be the new SRL. Nobody believes he's retired. It'll crush his legacy if he retires young, right before he'd have to have a rematch of DLH, his toughest fight, and then face the winner of Cotto/Margarito, which would absolutely be the most brutal fight of his career, against either. His legacy would suffer immensely, and he'd look like he's running away from the biggest challenges of his career, by far.

It'll serve to create some luke warm drama when he announces he's "coming out of retirement" blah blah, we've all seen it before, dude.

I'm not sure if the dlh fight is still on, but if it is off...............floyd is setting himself up for a big payday/superfight against the winner of cotto-margs....or who ever turns out to be the best welter.....i just don't think he has any motivation to work hard right now.............he knows he can beat dlh........he knows he can beat cotto and margs or any other welter.......(floyd's thinking)........he has no motivation.......a smart move.............................floyd imo is setting himself up for a come back on a big stage..................he will probably get his weight up......he will still do some moderate training..............i don't think he can give up the big stage in his prime................but i know one thing...........he has given the floyd haters something new to hate on........lol......the one's with sense will think he is not retired........but the others...........well, their posts will speak for themselves...........lol...........the scary thing as a fan is........he said he won't let boxing retire him, he will retire from boxing.........hopefully, he will give us that big fight.........
