The boxing world would be screaming for that fight!! Come on man every body has been calling for a Cotto vs. Mayweather fight, Mayweather would of been pressured into taking the winner of Cotto- Margerito (and we know Mayweather has already turned down a multi million dollar fight with Margerito). If he wouldn't of taken that fight after DLH there would of been an outcry!! Floyd hasn't defended his title against a ranked welter, the fight after DLH would of have to been the challenger, the challenger being either Cotto or Margerito time will tell, and he is ducking one of them (or both).

But everybody has been on his back though for years now, And that hasnt sway him from fighting someone the media want him to fight. so what is going to change after the Cotto/Margarito fight? The media would still talk and clamour for the fight like they are doing now..Nothing is going to change.

THIS is an astute observation. I can say that I'm not bothered either way, and Mayweather for me has meant almost nothing in the milieu of the boxing world. In his letter he indulges in rather delusional thoughts, especially concerning his multi-millions of devoted fans. The whole letter sounds rather hysterical and over dramatized and as has been suggested, he may be indulging in another of his blatant self adulatory PR attempts.

I syuppose that he'll make a dramatic, begrudging, "only because the fans love me so much" return simetime, when scattering $100 bills from casino balconys loses his interest.

If anyone has ever read Seutonius' "Lives of the 12 Caesars", one might be struck with the hysterial psychological resemblance to Nero. Except for Nero's habit of instructing his slavish adherents to commit suicide.

To cement his claim to being the "best" [present day only], he'd need to beat Delahoya convincingly this time, also Mosely before he gets too old, Cotto, Margarito [regardless of their fight outcome] and several other newly on the scene up and comers. He is young enought to do all this, but I question his ability, capability and staying power.
