GARY LOCKETT says "I DONT LOVE BOXING"

    Thoughts?

I just dont understand when fighters say **** like this.

Here's a guy in Gary Lockett who, if he pulls off the massive upset, has the opportunity to capture the imagination of his homeland, and become a star.

BUT, if the people realize the guy has no passion for what he does, and is just in it for the money... i mean his stock plumets.

I just dont get it. Taylor said that about a year ago,but after his loss to Pavlik said he had a renewed love for boxing. THATS what fans want to hear.

I just can't imagine some of these fighters are THAT dumb that they dont realize this.

For example. you'd NEEEEEEVER hear a guy like DLH or HATTON say something like that. They practically ooze with passion for the sport. DLH talks about how he'll cry at the podium when he has to retire.

I mean, they are starts for a reason. Do you think if Hatton came out and said that boxing sucks and he hates it, that he'd a star?

I read about this the other day. How he was contemplating retiring before the Pavlik fight came about. How he doesn't enjoy boxing, etc. At least he'll get a half ass decent paycheck for the beating he's about to take, I suppose.

I think BPP posted an article about this yesterday.
And Pavlik is the WRONG dude to get in the ring with having that type of attitude.
Pavlik is going to send his ass into retirement. In brutal fashion...

Old news. Anyone with the most microscopic knowledge of boxing knows that Lockett is an MMA fan!

Miguel Cotto said it too. Why they say it is beyond me. It's sad to hear too.

I love how he said something like "I chose boxing cause i really good at it. When i hit people, the lights go out." and all that ****.

I got a good laugh. With this stiffs he's been fighting in England, how the **** can he say he is good at it.

Yeah it doesn't make sense, if your in a sport and do it professionally you would think there would be at least some love for it. Anyways after the beating Kelly put's on him, his decision for retirement might be an easy one.
