I'm looking forward to Moby on Saturday...

... Moby's one of my favourite fighters right now, he always delivers for me.

I haven't seen much of Lockett so I can't comment really. Obviously it's a time filling fight with a (relatively) late fill-in opponent so we can't expect too much... I'd expect Moby to stop him somewhere between the 6-9th rounds. That's my pick.

I wouldn't be overly shocked if he lost, though. Not for Lockett - I've only seen him once, I think. It's just that while Moby is a top ten fighter for me (in terms of how much I :wank: over them) I don't think he's all that as a boxer. He's got a very upright, European style, and it's only the chin/heart/power combo. Sure, he's improved, but he's not the best boxer in the world. He was nearly a footnote last year after being on the verge of taken out in two.

I'm not, of course, saying this Lockett character is Taylor, or any of that. Like I say, my pick is Moby by stoppage in the mid rounds. But stuff happens in boxing, this Lockett guy might have a dig... I don't know. I give Lockett, on what I've seen, a 24% chance of success.

But look... what really bothers me is not who wins or loses, it's that I wanna see a GOOD FIGHT. And with two guys coming to fight, both have a dig, then we're gonna, right?

    Here's to a good fight!!!!

The second Taylor fight was a bit thin on excitement, but let's blame that on it being a rematch.

Yeah, I agree. Though I did wonder if that was relative. Moby normally delivers more.

You know, I really don't know much about Gary Locket. Though he doesn't give me an erection, I know that much.

Okay, I've talked about calculating Lockett's odds... you can't write off a guy who can **** against a guy who isn't a stellar technician like Moby. Moby's good, no doubt, but he's not THAT good.

So with this in mind I calculate Lockett's odds as about 4.5 - 1 against. On www.bet365.com he's 9-1 against. (Interestingly, Chagaev is the underdog to beat Valuev, and Artur Und Ick Bon is the underdog against Miranda, too). Wtih this in mind I've had a sporting fiver on the lad.
