I read in a book that Buster Douglas made excellent financial decisions and is very well off. Kind of ironic considering how much money Tyson earned over his entire career and Douglas only got one huge (in boxing standards) payday.

That's not what I've heard about Chavez. That's why he kept fighting long after his prime. Of course he is treated like royalty in Mexico though.

99% of big time fighters are totally secure when they retire, they make millions and millions of dollars. its just that the ones that **** it all up are so highly publicized that it makes it look like the majority are ****ups.
