So, who should Haye fight before Wlad?

Haye said that he will fight two top 10 opponents before Wlad. This is the list of top 10 by the ring magazine. Who do you think he should fight and why?

There's an internet rumor he'll be fighting Oleg Maskaev, but I hope not since Oleg looked old and slow in the Peter fight. He's in his 40th year and has had serious back injuries - he's a shot fighter.

I would prefer he takes on a young American who has the energy to test him, like Chris Arreola. A European like Alexander Dimitrenko would be a good choice as well. Both are ranked in the top ten by a sanctioning organization.

If it has to be a veteran, I think John Ruiz would be perfect.

Povetkin. Than Wlad has no reason to not fight Haye.

David Haye should fight Povetkin so he could prove himself at heavyweight first. Plus Povetkin is the WBC mandotory with the look of credentials and wants his shot at the title as well. The winner of Haye/Povetkin should meet Wladimir at the end of this year or the begining of next. That sounds pretty fair to me.

Valuev. He is a no-talent giant sideshow-kind-of-fighter who robbed Johnny "Clinch" Ruiz of a victory. He will then gain some kind of credibility for being able to defeat a much larger man... and then he will probably get dropped by Wlad.

Those are old Ring ratings from early January. Lyakhovich has dropped out, Maskaev is #7 now.

He should fight Ibragimov, if he can beat him more convincingly then Wlad then he will have a very good case at demanding a fight with Klitschko.

Haye wants to fight Rahman or McCall...Maskaev ruined Rahman, he is a shot fighter now and McCall is 100 years old....I bet Haye won't even fight a top 10 heavyweight, he's just running his fat mouth....Even if Haye does wanna fight a top 10 guy Golden Boy promotions won't let him because there would be a good chance of him getting KO'd and that would ruin the big payday superfight with Wlad....Golden Boy Promotions knows Haye's weaknesses, he is very vulnerable fighter and they're gonna match him up carefully.

I'd like to see him fight Ibragimov... Welcome to the Big leagues, Haye..
If Haye could win that.. I'd say we have a contender.
