This was only his 7th fight and yes he was caught and badly staggered but its not as bad as the Carl Thompson KO and the general consensus is that Haye has learned from that and has come back stronger.
That said it still doesnt allay my doubts whether he can withstand the punch of a true HW, im just playing devils advocate.!!!

But Haye had a long amateur career with over 200 fights.
He was only successful in one international tournament, winning silver but being TKOed by Odlanier Solis in the final.

oh yea, dont get me wrong im not disagreeing with you mate, like i say just playing devils advocate, a lot has been made of Haye's early career but since Thompson he has been dominant... you can only beat who is in front of you after all.
I even had Macarinelli to beat Haye and was stunned it was over so quickly .... showed Enzo's lack of war experience i suppose.
Bring on the big boys and settle the debate once and for all i say!!

....I'm even more convinced that Haye wouldn't even be able to take Klitschko's jab. The first solid jab landed would put him on ***** street and mark the end. This guy doesn't belong anywhere near the same ring as Wlady unless he has a death wish.

Haye was rocked big time in that fight, a fight that adds to the doubts about his HW prospects, at least he showed he has heart to get up off the canvas and stop his opponent, something which a certain monosyllabic current HW champ has never done.

                      Wrong again son.

Wlad got off the canvas in the first round to stop 33-4 Steve Pannell in the second.
