      I co-sign.

I think his style was catching up to him but he's one of my all-time fave's.

      I like this tribute better....

You'n'me both, brother. I remember watching his last fight and thinking "My guy has just had too many tough fights, he's done, but I'm thinking he'll be guest commentator for years to come". Little did I know. Later on, when I heard about the trouble his wife was having (or the rumors of it, anyway) I mailed her a check for $250 to the only address I could find, but it was never cashed. I guess she either didn't need it, or never got it. Even if she had, it would've been nothing compared to the fun I got out of watching Diego.

He was definitely done because he couldn't make weight anymore and just wasn't good enough to compete at 147 and up. What happened is tragic because Corrales had young children and a pregnant wife, but I think he would have been miserable not being able to fight on the level he used to. Then he would have been through boxing by his mid 30's without the money he needed for retirement. I really don't think Corrales would have been happy with the way his life turned out.

It sucks that he died but if you guys knew the truth you wouldnt care for him as much. I cant go in to detail, but I know someone who was with him when he died, and lets just say the whole story isnt being told. So I dont look at it the same.

Corrales was definitely a flawed person. Going to prison for hurting your pregnant wife is enough evidence of that.
