I mean, people are sitting around in pain or bleeding, and these guys want my opinion because they can't decide if Ricky Hatton is really good or they don't know who the HW champ is. I was just wondering if anybody else goes through this at work.
haha for sure. was just asked when the next big fight was

I feel you. I feel like it's my duty to report the state of the game to my co-workers because you won't find boxing news on Sportscenter. The guys here like NASCAR, and fishing, and casual football and hoops fans. I think the women I work with know more about boxing than their husbands do because of me.

I'm my office's boxing guy 4 sho. A couple people watch some of the fights but don't follow it closely enough to really know anybody. Then there's the older guys there who know Tyson and Ali and other old school fighters, but nothin about the current top crop of stars.

Everyone at my workplace is a boxing fan, but they mostly follow puertorican fighters and big names. I'm pretty much the one they go to when they want to what fights are on and if the fighters are any good.

Lol. Yea everybody knows me as that. Every time there's a big fight everyone asks me who I think is gonna win. I also get an occasional bet every now and then out of them. Funny enough most of the casual fans at work, if not everyone, knows who Cotto is.

****, we should get a tax break or something for educating. Hey H-Town, i do the same thing with THE TEST. Funny. Here's a funny story. I was actually at a doctor's house (big, quiet, classical music and ****) picking up my girlfriend from babysitting when I first saw Castillo-Corrales I. He had Showtime and I knew it was showing so I watched it. WOW! The doctor shows up after a long day of surgery and I'm still buzzing from the fight and I ear ****d him for about 30 minutes talking about a fight from a sport that he wasn't even interested in. I told him how it was so great that Showtime was gonna replay it the following weekend. Now everytime I see him here at the hospital he asks when the next big fight is. I made him a fan.
