By Cliff Rold - A busy week on the tube ushers in the summer season of Boxing action and a legitimately tough choice is on tap. Next Saturday, both HBO and Showtime go head to head with relatively weak main events supported by must-see undercard bouts. What to do? Whether you’re catching the live feed on the East or West coast, know you’re in luck because the best fight of the week will run unopposed. [details]

I agree with Cliff, start off with showtime opening fight and switch over to hbo's opening fight. Forrest Mora=Cotto Gomez,Pavlik Lockett is DVR replay material -
Forrest-Mora isn't going to be anything like Cotto-Gomez. I do agree about the Pavlik fight being the fourth priority of the night.Comment

Watch It Too: Daniel Ponce De Leon-Juan Manuel Lopez (HBO, Saturday 10:05 PM EST)
That’s what is called a segue way. If Quintana-Williams II isn’t best fight of the night, it will be because De Leon-Lopez steals the night. Look, it’s simple. When a fight gets made between two Mexicans with knockout percentages around 90%, show up. It won’t be an episode of American Idol. De Leon (34-1, 30 KO) has shown improvement of late technically but that doesn’t mean Lopez (21-0, 19 KO) can’t exploit the wide defensive holes still there. Lopez has faced lesser total opposition, but most people do before their first title shot and that’s what Saturday will mark with De Leon’s WBO 122 lb. belt at stake. Factor this in as well: 122 lbs. has had a serious candidate for, or flat out won, Fight of the Year in almost every turn of the calendar since 1996. That’s a damn good track record. When it’s over, fans can stick around to see the furtherance of World Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik for a fine night of fisticuffs.
