I think the most dangerous thing about this fight is Donaire's left hook. It's a great punch, but when Mijares throws his jab out will he get countered. Left hook's are great against southpaw, but when Maldonado switched he has some effect against him.

Both have never fought supreme slicksters before which makes this fight so hard to match up. I think Mijares' superior defense skills and better offensive combinations would off set Donaire.

    What do you guys think?

Agreed ^ I see Mijares winning a very close decision over Donaire like you said

I am with you guys on this one. Donaire shows he can deal with southpaws (albeit a VERY different southpaw) in Darchinyan, but Mijares is in a whole different class than Vic. I see Mijares edging the championship rounds to win a close (definately SD ahahha) desicion.

Another fantastic match up of smaller guys, how about Roman Gonzalez vs Ivan Calderon in about years time? Gonzalez looks like an amazing prospect

Nonito Donaire looked DAMN good against both Darchinyan and Maldonado, definately.
