Öner Apologizes To Danny Williams, Seeks Rematch

First of all I want to apologize for all the confusion in this fight. And I want to point out that I never meant to cheat on Danny in any way. If it would have been my goal to steal the victory from him I wouldn’t have thrown in the towel at a point were Konstantin was leading on all scorecards. [details]

Hey he apologized and he explained himself fairly well. It was an entertaining see-saw fight and a rematch would be a good idea I think.

Horse **** I swear that was the guy that rang the bell early?!! It seems he has a guilty conscience, or he's been caught out. Either way he is talking ****.

He has no chance of a rematch. I would be surprised if someone fights him now.

Is it me, or does this happen a lot in Germany and only in favor of the German-based fighter? I can recall a similar incident a few months back involving Yoan Pablo Hernandez and Wayne Braithwaite in which the referee helped up the local fighter. If Braithwaite went down, do you think the ref would have helped Braithwaite up as well?

Dude read the article. Promoter is Turkish, fight was in Spain.

Hmmm, Ok it seems like a reasonable explanation of the events, even if it was a complete bull**** thing to do in regards to the rules. But I can understand the guy's frame of mind now. Still though, will have to keep our eyes on him for a while to make sure.

He is Turkish by origin, but lives in Germany. Since Danny Williams wants to pursue this, Ahmet Oner is probably worried his promoters licence could get revoked. Its better for him to put the entire blame on the referee and the spanish officials.

I saw the ref help Hernandez up, that was strange indeed. Hernandez is another Ohner fighter.

I've never seen anything really unusual like that in Universum or Sauerland promoted fights, just in fights promoted by Ohner.
