That was a ****ty ass fight, that dude Thompson made Kimbo look like the amateur he is. I don't dislike Kimbo, he's a 305 thug, and I used to love his youtube videos, it was entertaining to watch. But after watching that fight he just doesn't have the stamina or skills to compete on MMA/Boxing or any other kind of martial arts. He's just too old and is not properly trained for this kind of sport, I know Bas is training him and all (but that can all be part of the stage act created by EliteXC to hype him up and squeeze as much money as they can with his name) and it was obvious that a guy with a better record and skills could of easily destroy Kimbo in less than 1 round.

Kimbo is just a massive and strong motha' ***a, a freakshow, he's entertaining to watch and I'm glad he's finally making real dough with this dog and pony show, but if some people are taking him seriously they are delusional at best. I'm pretty sure after Saturday Kimbo's hype is probably close to dying, even to the casual fan.

I can't believe the ****** posts in this thread. kimbo didn't tap and why would he? that submission doesn't cause any pain. the only thing that would happen is kimbo would pass out and he didn't. he was clearly giving the thumbs up that he is ok. I mean, forget the fact that kimbo was about 5 seconds away from ko'ing thompson, but his ear popped and blood was coming out uncontrollably. if the ref handn't had stopped it there, it probably would've been the bloodiest match in mma history. I mean, I've seen the lamest forms of conspiracy theories in my life, but this one ranks right up there.

Baz is training him cause a 10% cut on a single fight equates to a middle class annual income. im sure if it was off the record baz would tell you kimbo is mediocre at best.

you mentioned certain guys may blow him out in 1 round, however i think that opponents who try that will give kimbo the only good chance to win.

any good guy, even if he is a great striker, should just string kimbo out for a round and take him out when he is too tired to properly defend

wow, lol. interesting. kimbo is saving mma which is the fastest growing sport in the world(eye roll).

kimbo is gonna be soon forgotten and so will Elite XC. UFC is the past, present and future of mma. don't look to elitexc to represent mma cuz thats like looking at the NABO belt holder in boxing and saying that he is the best boxer in the world.

I'm not much of a fan of MMA, but I did watch that match and have the same impressions. I've seen quite a few more questionable stoppages in boxing this year alone.
