he defended his title like 21 times and his career he got many win only 4 which were contervisal wins.

so he is a good fighter but does not deserve a zero but that the way it goes.

pro sport is a business before pleasure and you gotta know many fighters dont choose who they want to fight.
Ottke's resume is the epitome of hand picked, and he had more than 4 gifts. If you're going to hand pick your opponents, at least pick ones you can beat.

A lot of fuss is being made at the moment over the Danny Williams fight, in which he was nearly robbed. Yes, that was a disgrace, but on a par with that is Otkke's fight against Robin Reid.

It was a while ago now, so it gets easily forgotten, but Otkke is the single worst thing to have ever happened to boxing.

One of my all time favourite boxing moments.

There is no embarassment in losing by decision to Ottke in Germany, partly down to the fact that there is more chance of France actually winning a war than an opponent beating Ottke on the scorecards. But to lose by KO, and a particularly hilarious KO is priceless, especially when you are without doubt the biggest prick the sport of boxing has ever seen. Thank you Anthony Mundine for this moment; i'll certainly never forget it.

        Lets' get serious here.

This was Mundine's 11th fight, with no amateur career, against a world class technical boxer, & he was winning the fight when he started running out of gas & was KO'd.

Ottke got a few dubious decisions, notably against Mitchell & Reid, but up to the Reid fight, even the Mitchell fight was close enough that it could of gone either way.
He fought Thomas Tate (twice), Glen Johnson, Silvio Branco, Charles Brewer & Byron Mitchell, which was a pretty damn good resume, & the Reid fight was his 2nd to last fight.

As for Mundine, am no fan of his, but he deserves respect for that performance.

For a guy as raw as him to be outboxing a seasoned, top level boxer like Ottke & winning on the scorecards was damn impressive, just blew too much energy doing so.
Started running out of gas & Ottke caught him.

As i have said numerous times.

Ottke hits harder than Kessler and Danny Green, well atleast boxrec proves that.

I can't believe that punch stretched Mundine out. He looked like he had been shot, lol.

well I would say Ottke is good fighter but not with his record making him look elite.

that all i saying. Ottke is a title holder how could defend his title 3 times at most.

but you people make him as a bum who just wont the WBA and was gifted many of his fight.

he got gifted 3 times that is for sure but his title means something defending it couple of time.

and just because you guy just knew there was a Super MW division few years ago doesn mean that all the fighters are bum

                    Ottke is a beast.

Devastating puncher, when Ottke gets his man they go limp and stay out cold for minutes.
