..ERIK MORALES: Tasteless Or Priceless...

I was searching youtube.com for some booty shaking videos (I know of plenty of better places, but ehhhh) when I decided to take a break and check out some boxing stuff. I stumbled upon this clip from 2003 of Erik Morales and Fernando Velardez.

In the video, after knocking Velardez out, Morales stands over his still fallen body (so to speak) and mocks him, with a perfect photo opp.

Now, the backstory is that Fernando had fought Diego Morales (I believe his name is..), Erik's brother and had gotten DQed. After the fight, he talked **** about the Morales family, and this was more of a revenge thing.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts on the act itself?

Its Erik Morales guys never been a fake what can i say, he was a warrior through and through.

Bobby Boy was a prime example of the true Rocky story except he didn't win a title. But was always the under dog and the he keep winning and till he got a title shot. And i don't belive or do i know that Verlardez talked smack of the Morales family. I think Erik did what he did for revenge for his little carnalito.

Barreras brother was also a boxer too the same time Barrera was destroying opponets. I'd say Morales brother was a better boxer.

Tony Thompson i think it was. the two fight at there press confrence exchange fist too and Vargas is hyped during the walk in and fight out of his game plan just goes in there to trade leather and in one of the many times he knocked down Thompson he spit on Thompson while over him.

Since ferocity mentions it, I found it and will now post. This is the Vargas/Thompson video. It's sad, almost, to watch someone who literally is SO pissed about being spit on, yet unable to do **** about it. Don't know what they hated about eachother, but this is pretty crazy.

Yeah, that video is highly annoying. Most people have no idea that the guy had bagged the Morales family and certainly deserved it. If you're going to rip on someone who has an older brother who is a crazy mofo, you gotta expect some punishment. He deserved that and more.

Both of these videos are ill as ****. Unfortunately, these two aged too fast, the wars didn't help them, but in their primes, they are two of my 5 favorite fighters of all time. So much skill, passion, power, attitude, and energy. It rarely gets better than prime Morales and Vargas for a boxing fan.
