His status has fallen pretty substantially. Nonetheless, I think he can recover. It'll be hard, but it's happened.

As to his fights, he was SUPPOSED to fight this weekend. On the Pavlik/Lockett fight, but plans change when you lose unexpectedly, unless your Zab Judah or Erik Morales.

      No idea, as of now.

        he's 15-1 and 23years old. 6'2 and a southpaw.
better to loose now than later.
shocker loosing to that miniature frankenstein vera!
it looks like he's going back home to lick his wounds.
boxrec has him fighting a 10 rounder against ? in
        limerick, ireland in july.

After hearing all the talk about him i sat down and watched that fight, He looks ok but i couldn’t believe people were comparing him to G-man, there is plenty of time for him to come back and a loss early can be good for a young fighter but I don’t see him as this great prospect everyone was talking about 6 months ago. Imo Jonathon Banks is a much better prospect that Lee. Banks will be fighting for the WBO cruiserweight title very soon.

he made some bad choices in that brian vera fight. but he has the goods to be a top contender.

Andy Lee will fight again on July 19th in Ireland opponent TBA.

And this is going to cause a lot of rants on here, but there is a possibility of a fight with Winky Wright by the end of this year.

Andy was definitely on the fast track before his loss to Vera. I like the guy and enjoy his fights. I just hope he learns from the defeat and comes back stronger.

He'll be back for sure. Andy will know he got his tactics completely wrong in the Vera fight and lacked the defensive qualities needed to make it to the top. That being said the stoppage was a poor one which has winded up as a loss on his record. He needs to go back to basics and take a couple of easy, confidence building fights. I still believe he has the tools to get to the upper echelons of the middleweight division.
